I absolutely adored the charming and unique decor of the hotel. From the dramatic portrait above the bed to the chic farmhouse feel of the room, it truly felt like stepping into a different era. As a senior woman, I appreciate when accommodations cater to our needs, and this hotel did just that. The accessibility for senior people was excellent, with comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom with a large shower, and even provision for mosquito management. It's lovely to see a place that understands the needs of older guests.
If I had to ask for one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be more assistance from the children working there. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, it would have been helpful to have some assistance with the lighting as it wasn't great for old eyes.

The rooms at Fleur Bleue & The Timber Frame are so cozy and inviting, you'll instantly feel at home. I loved the private bathroom with a bath and free toiletries, it's a little luxury that made me feel pampered. Plus, the seating area in the suite was perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring Heidelberg.
Okay, so this might be a personal preference, but the tile/marble floor in the suite wasn't really my thing. I found it a bit cold and slippery, but hey, some people might enjoy that sleek and chic vibe.

I absolutely adored the charming and whimsical decor of the hotel. The rooms were filled with delightful touches that made me feel like I was staying in a fairytale cottage. The general areas of the hotel, such as the garden and balconies, were also beautifully designed and maintained. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The pathways were easy to navigate and there were plenty of comfortable seating areas where I could rest and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
It would have been even better if there were handrails in certain areas of the hotel to provide extra support and stability for senior guests.

The charming farmhouse decor at Fleur Bleue created a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that I appreciated as a senior woman. The general areas of the hotel were spacious and easily accessible, with everything conveniently located on one level. It made navigating the property a breeze, especially for someone like me who prefers not to climb stairs or walk long distances.
The only improvement I would suggest is for the children working there to provide more activities or entertainment specifically catered to senior guests.

The place was immaculate and incredibly cozy, with a jaw-dropping landscaped garden. Rentia, our hostess, was super friendly and welcoming, even greeting us in the dark. The breakfast was a mind-blowing feast, served in the stunning back spice garden. We enjoyed blooming flowers, chirping birds, and the full African experience. Rentia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and gave great local recommendations. The beautiful garden used homegrown foods for a delicious breakfast. The room was perfect with a chic farmhouse feel, a comfortable bed, and a large shower in the bathroom. Rentia provided excellent company during breakfast on the stoep, where we also enjoyed sundowners overlooking the spacious garden. Safe parking on-site and a short walk to a large supermarket. This place is a must-visit if you're in the area. Thank you, Rentia, for a truly pleasurable stay!
